Nandina domestica 'Flirt' is a dwarf, evergreen shrub known for its exceptionally long-lasting red foliage. Unlike most Nandina varieties that only turn red in winter, 'Flirt' maintains deep wine-red new growth for up to nine months of the year, providing vibrant color through spring, summer, and fall. New leaves emerge a deep burgundy or scarlet, eventually maturing to a rich blue-green while the plant continues to produce new red shoots. In fall and winter, the foliage turns a spectacular crimson or fuchsia-red. This variety requires almost no pruning to maintain its naturally mounded shape.
